I just listened to this interview with Stephanie Dowrick – another interfaith pioneer and her search for the sacred. She talks beautifully how the loss of her mother when she was 8 made her fiercely determined to find the best in life, and how crisis breaks open a heart for the sacred to find a way in.

No doubt there were a number of themes touched on today. The one that intrigues me the most is around the relationship between faith, our intellect and psychological state as we endeavour to surrender ‘control’. Should this be such a struggle?

Advent is a grace, a time to do that. It’s a precious thing we do for one another when we meet together as we did this morning and listen to each other as we try to explore the truth of God in us.
