Thankfully, the recent floods and spread of Covid in East Timor have not impacted the people of Railaco in a big way. In heavily populated areas such as the capital Dili and some other areas, Jesuit Social Services Timor-Leste has been very actively involved in distributing food, clothing and blankets to those affected. Fr Bong reports from Railaco that plans for 2021 for the Mobile Medical Clinic and Children’s Feeding Program just continue as before.
The caring and generous St Canice parishioners and their friends were recognised tonight at the Thanksgiving function at Saint Aloysius College. Thank you all for your the ongoing support for the Jesuit Railaco Mission in East Timor.

If we Caniceians continue to heed the frequent calls of the gospels to reach out to the needy, St Canice’s will be kept very busy acknowledging all our contributions, large and small. But beyond that, and as importantly, we would be living out our faith, enriching our spirit and building our parish community.
