A peaceful sanctuary within the constant activity of “the Cross” David’s Place at St Canice’s KingsCross Sydney Jesuit Parish, has for 20 years been a place of prayer, reflection and community for the homeless of inner Sydney. In his homily to mark the anniversary, Fr Frank Brennan SJ reflects on the special place that David’s Place holds in the lives of those who meet there, and also on it’s influence on the character of the city it serves.
