@caniceskitchen is the incredible onsite outreach service of St Canice’s parish. On a daily basis they deliver crisis support to over 150 men and women experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty.

Over the past 18 months, despite the lockdowns, the Kitchen has been a beacon of light for the street community. They have remained open, delivering not only meals but growing their services to include; legal and healthcare clinics, a COVID vaccination hub, an extensive library and probably most importantly an array of mental health services.

Alongside their inhouse Life Coach, they are now employing a Mental Health Support worker, whose clinical experience will provide life changing skills to the community. They will also host the first ever Action for Happiness group. A dedicated mental health support group which seeks to find positive life strategies for the street community.

The team is focused on delivering a holistic method of wellbeing, one where they continue to work face to face with the community, walking alongside them as they navigate their personal challenges.
To help them deliver these exceptional services, they are asking for support from the parish community. A dedicated fundraising portal has been set up, please give what you can to help St Canice’s outreach make even more of a positive impact post COVID.
